Celebrating 50 years young & 21 years in business!
‘’After 21 years of growing our family business from a small 9ft by 9ft market stall in Wakefield to today’s multi-award winning company, we now have three retail outlets at Castleford, Pontefract and Samuel Valentine The Urban Food Hall, which we founded ten years ago. Our prosperous wholesale operation supplying and exporting to some of the finest chefs, independent retailers and sporting stadiums. 2019 will see 21 years of Cryer & Stott trading (our coming of age) and myself celebrating being 50 years young! I’ve decided that it’s a good time to ‘’give a little back’’.
I will be flying in to Lukla (Nepal) the most extreme and dangerous airport in the world, then trekking the 80 miles round trip to Mount Everest. With fromage in hand I will be showcasing Yorkshire artisan cheese at the dizzy heights of 18,000ft.
I’m raising funds and awareness for Radio Aire Cash for Kids who help local sick, disabled and disadvantaged children across West Yorkshire as we have supported them for a number of years now and strongly value the work they do in the local community. The support they give to these children in my local area can range from providing children with specialist and life changing medical equipment such as specialist wheelchairs and walking frames, therapy and counselling sessions to basic needs like beds for children living in poverty and basic warm winter clothing. Their flagship campaign is called Mission Christmas and it’s their mission to ensure no child in West Yorkshire wakes up without a gift on Christmas Day, this a campaign we have supporter for a number of years thanks to the generosity of our customers. In 2018 Mission Christmas helped 27,215 local children, many of which were at risk of waking up to nothing on Christmas Day without their help. To find out more about Cash for kids please visit
